Noel Ryan has exhibit in National Exhibits in Marin and Sonoma Counties and the 2nd California Watercolor Association.  Paintings were exhibited in the Francis Young Gallery, Marin Civic Center, the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, Art Works in San Rafael, Artist Gallery in Mill Valley, Gallery One in Petaluma, Watercolor Artists of Sonoma County, and the Marin Community Foundation.

She is a native San Franciscan and graduated from San Francisco State University. Her many roles include wife, mother, teacher, and community volunteer.  It is though painting that her creative spirit is nurtured and sustained.  She discovered painting with watercolor to be a challenging media because it demands definiteness, and at the same, fluidity. She endeavors to capture the subtleties of light and shadow.  She encounters pleasure in investigating nature and the environment, observing its form and hue, and interpreting her impressions with clear, crisp, lucid lines and color. She paints to stimulate and enrich the viewer with her art.

Noel continues to enjoy the experience of being an art docent for the Petaluma School District.
