A charming pocket park (it has no name) in Tiburon/Belvedere of trees and lawn. From 101 take Tiburon Blvd. and turn right on Beach Road. It is a small triangular park where the road splits.

Off Bon Air Road, Greenbrae. Turn on Bon Air, go only .2 mile and park. Walk up the path to the overhand area where there are benches.  See a grand view of the creek and marsh.

Bay Model - Sausalito

Bay Model, While the model is not open on Mondays, we enjoy views of a boat dock nearby and kayakers paddling. Although the address for the Bay Model Visitors Center is on Bridgeway, the building itself is actually located on Marinship Way.

Piper Park, Larkspur. It is located behind the Central Marin Police Authority at 25 Doherty Drive.  Exit Lucky Drive when you are coming south on 101.

This year MCWS will provide sandwiches.  You should dessert or salads.   MCWS furnishes sparkling water and wine.

Santa Margarita Island Preserve, San Rafael

Nature preserve with views of unique homes built across the water. This 9-acre preserve (the island is 4.5 acres) was once the proposed location of a residential subdivision designed to mimic Venice, Italy.  Marsh edging the island provides habitat for endangered Ridgeway's Rail, a shy bird. From Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the N San Pedro Rd exit east and turn left at Meadow Dr. MCOSD gate is at the end. Free parking on the street.

East access: from Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the N San Pedro Rd exit east and turn left Vendola Dr. MCOSD gate is at the end, on the left. West access: from Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the N San Pedro Rd exit east, turn left at La Pasada Way, and turn right at Vendola Dr. MCOSD gate is at the end.
