I have been an artist all my life. I am an alumnus of Art Center College of Design in Southern California. Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in 1957 I was drafted into the U.S. Navy. After finishing my tour of duty, I moved to New York City where I enjoyed employment as a commercial artist for ten years. In 1969, when I moved to California, I continued my freelance business creating book illustrations, designs for tissue boxes, patterns for fine china, greeting cards, and nearly everything in between. I took part in a U.S. Air Force endeavor that sent artists to various air bases in the world so they could represent life in the air force from an artist’s perspective. Over the years my work turned toward fine art: printmaking, painting, and portraiture. Recently I have been focusing my energies on watercolor. Still life and landscape are my favorite subjects. My home and my studio are in Marin County, California.
